Islamabad is the capital city of Pakistan.
It is the country's ninth-most populous city, with a population of over 1.2 million people, and is federally administered by the Pakistani government as part of the Islamabad Capital Territory.
Built as a planned city in the 1960s, it replaced Rawalpindi as Pakistan's national capital.

Karachi is the most populous city in Pakistan and 12th most populous city in the world, with a population of over 20 million. It is situated at the southern tip of the country along the Arabian Sea coast.
It is the former capital of Pakistan and capital of the province of Sindh.

Lahore is the second most populous city in Pakistan after Karachi and 26th most populous city in the world,
with a population of over 13 million.
It is the capital of the province of Punjab where it is the largest city.

Swat District is a district in the Malakand Division of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.
With a population of 2,309,570 per the 2017 national census,
Swat is the 15th-largest district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

PEOPLE AND LANGUAGES:

Predominantly Muslims, the people of Pakistan are culturally homogeneous.
Other religious groups include the Christians, Buddhist, Hindus and Parsees.
All belong to a composite racial stock although the majority belongs to an Aryan extraction.
While Urdu, the national language, is spoken throughout Pakistan, English is extensively used in official and commercial circles, and in the cities.
The regional languages are Sindhi in Sindh, Balochi in Baluchistan, Punjabi in Punjab and Pashto in the Northwest Frontier Province (NWFP).
